iPhone Duo Price: Every Model in Every Country (2026)

 The iPhone Duo costs $1,999 in the US, £1,999 in the UK, €2,299 in Germany, A$3,499 in Australia and AED 8,499 in the UAE — and those numbers are less different than they look. Once you strip out VAT, most countries pay within 5–11% of the US price. The big exception is India.

 Some price round-ups published this week disagree with Apple's own stores — one lists the UK at £2,399, when Apple UK sells it for £1,999. Every price on this page was checked directly on Apple's store for that country, for all four storage tiers.

Choose a storage tier, and whether to see local currency or US dollars. “Before tax” removes each country's standard VAT, GST or consumption tax so countries can be compared fairly with the US and Canada, which list prices without tax.

Where is the iPhone Duo cheapest?

Comparing listed prices is misleading, because the US and Canada show prices before tax and almost everyone else includes it. Here is the 256GB model compared both ways.

• Cheapest overall: the US, even after sales tax. At an 8% sales tax, for example, $1,999 becomes about $2,159 — still below every other country's listed price. Oregon, Montana, New Hampshire and Delaware have no statewide sales tax.
• Cheapest outside the US: Canada and Japan, both about 5% above the US before tax.
• Europe, the UK, the Gulf, Singapore and Australia cluster tightly: $2,165–$2,221 before tax. Most of the gap you see on the price tag is VAT.
• Most expensive: India, about 31% above the US even before GST, at ₹2,99,900.

Buying abroad: read this first

Gaps of a few hundred dollars tempt people to buy while travelling. Before you do:

• The SIM isn't a problem. The Duo is dual eSIM only in every country, so there's no region-specific SIM tray to worry about. Check that your carrier supports eSIM transfer.
• Check the model's network bands. Apple can sell different model numbers in different regions. Compare the model on Apple's tech specs page for both countries before you buy.
• Warranty and AppleCare+ can be regional. Some service, and some AppleCare+ plans, are limited to the country of purchase. On a first-generation folding phone, that matters more than usual.
• Tourist tax refunds. Some countries, including the UAE and Japan, offer VAT or consumption-tax refunds to eligible visitors. Check eligibility and process before relying on it.
• Customs at home. Bringing a $2,000+ phone home can exceed your duty-free allowance. Declare it, or the saving can disappear.
• Returns. Returning a phone bought abroad usually means returning to that country.

Trade-in, carrier deals and price drops

• Apple trade-in (US): $35–$885 off with an iPhone 8 Plus or newer, depending on model and condition.
• US carriers: AT&T advertises up to $1,200 and T-Mobile up to $1,000 with eligible trade-ins, paid as bill credits over 24 or 36 months, with a $35 activation or connection fee. Credits usually require staying on the plan.
• UK financing: 0% APR over 30 months from Apple, from £66.63 a month.
• Will the price drop? Apple rarely cuts the price of a current model. Savings tend to come from trade-ins, carrier credits and, later, retailer promotions. Don't wait for a price cut.
