A case for a regular iPhone only has to cover one slab. A case for the iPhone Duo has to deal with a hinge, two screens and a phone that folds.
Folded, the hinge is a narrow strip running the full 117.8 mm height of the phone. A drop on it puts the force on the most expensive part.
Two 5.2 mm halves make 10.4 mm; the folded Duo is 11.3 mm. Anything on the inner faces stops it closing, so cards and stands belong outside.
The 5.4″ outer screen shares your pocket with keys. Choose a case with front glass built in, or add an outer screen protector.
The Duo supports MagSafe and Qi2 up to 25W, with magnets in one half. A case without its own magnets weakens chargers and mounts.
Open, the Duo is 164.6 mm wide. A ring rotates to any angle and doubles as a grip; a kickstand is steadier on a desk for typing and writing.

Do I need a screen protector with my iPhone Duo case?
For the 5.4-inch outer screen, yes, unless your case has front glass built in — 11 of ours do. Otherwise add an outer screen protector. The inner screen already has a replaceable cover layer from Apple.
