Fifteen brands have now put their name to an iPhone Duo case. Between them they offer fewer than thirty distinct products for a device that has not shipped yet, several will not deliver until December, and one of the most recognisable names in phone cases has nothing but a waitlist.
This page compares all of them on the things you can actually verify before launch: how many cases each brand makes, what they cost, what materials they use, which functions they cover, and when they ship. We sell iPhone Duo cases, which is a reason to read us carefully — so we have put the places where competitors beat us in their own section, in bold, and named the specific product to buy instead.
How we compared, and what we could not verify
Every figure on this page comes from one of two places: a brand's own published product listing, or named press coverage of that brand's announcement. Nothing is estimated, and where a brand has not published a number the table says Not published rather than filling the gap.
That matters more than usual right now, because of one fact that applies to every brand here including us:
What we could not verify, and have therefore left out: drop-test results for any brand (almost none are published), real-world weights for most cases, and hinge-cycle durability for any case on the market. Nobody has this data yet.

Price compared
Entry price for each brand that has published one. This is like-for-like on the cheapest iPhone Duo case each brand sells.
Spigen Tough Armor Pro Mag Fit — $69.99
Duo Case Co Magnetic Hinge Protection Case — $49.95
Difference: $20.04, or 29% less
Range compared
How many distinct iPhone Duo cases each brand currently offers. This is the single widest gap in the whole comparison.
The functional consequence matters more than the number. No brand above sells an iPhone Duo wallet case that is available now, a case with a stylus slot, or a rotating ring stand case in nine colourways. Not at $59.99, not at $129. Those products do not exist elsewhere yet.
The shipping-date problem
This is the finding that most affects a real purchase, and it is buried on most comparison pages.
Nomad Traditional Leather Folio — not before 16 November (3+ weeks late)
Nomad Mag Leather Back — 7 December (6+ weeks late)
Spigen Slim Armor Pro Mag Fit — preorder, est. 45 business days (~9 weeks)
CASETiFY — waitlist, no product
If your case arrives on 7 December you will have carried a bare 254 g foldable for six weeks. That is precisely the window in which a new device is most likely to be dropped, because you are still learning how it handles — and this one has a hinge, a titanium frame and a $1,999 replacement cost.
The brands that can put a case in your hand on or before launch day: Apple, PITAKA, Spigen's Tough Armor line, Thinborne, Latercase, SANDMARC, Benks and Duo Case Co. That is a shorter list than the marketing implies.
Brand-by-brand analysis
Apple — best for guaranteed fit
Two products. The iPhone Duo Case at $79 (€89) is a two-part matte polycarbonate shell: one piece covers the back, a second frames the outer display without covering it or interfering with the fold, with built-in magnets for alignment. The iPhone Duo Folio with Kickstand at $129 (€149) uses TechWoven fabric, has an elastic hinge cover that extends and retracts as you open and close the device, and an integrated kickstand that folds flush. Both support MagSafe, Qi2 at 25W and standard Qi. Two colours each: Sand and Navy Blue for the Case, Taupe and Navy Blue for the Folio.
Apple has published no weight, no dimensions and no drop rating for either case, stating only that both go through thousands of hours of testing during design and manufacturing.
Verdict: the only cases designed alongside the phone, so fit risk is zero — a real advantage nobody else can claim. The Folio's elastic hinge mechanism is the best engineering in any Duo case announced. Against that: the highest prices here, four colourways across the whole line, no card or stylus storage, and a Folio that encloses the 5.4″ outer display so you must open the phone to check a notification. Buy the Folio if hinge coverage plus a stand is what you want and $129 is comfortable.
PITAKA — best for minimum bulk
The iPhone Duo Edge Case in aramid fibre, listed at $59.99 for the 600D Black/Grey version, at approximately 22 grams and about 1.2 mm thick, with some variants listed around 19 grams and 1.3 mm. MagSafe supported, with PITAKA's PitaTap Camera Control solution. In stock with an active Add to Cart.
Verdict: genuinely the thinnest mainstream option, and on a device with an 11.3 mm folded baseline that is a bigger deal than on a conventional phone. We do not sell anything this thin and will not pretend we do. PITAKA itself positions the Edge as thin-and-light rather than maximum protection, so it is not the case for hinge or drop protection. Buy PITAKA if minimum thickness is your deciding criterion.
Spigen — the best-known protective brand
The Tough Armor Pro Mag Fit is listed at $69.99 with a dedicated hinge protector rather than an exposed spine, currently with an active Add to Cart. The Slim Armor Pro Mag Fit is listed separately as a preorder with an estimated 45-business-day shipping window.
Verdict: our most direct competitor and a serious one. Spigen carries years of protective-case reputation and review volume we do not have, and its hinge protector addresses exactly the right problem. The honest comparison is $69.99 against our $49.95, and two designs against our twelve. Buy Spigen if brand track record matters more to you than price or choice — but check the Slim Armor's shipping estimate before ordering that specific model.
Nomad — best documented leather
Several cases announced. The Traditional Leather Folio in Horween leather offers camera protection, built-in magnets, interior card slots and full cover-display protection, in Black, Saddle and Rustic Brown, shipping no earlier than 16 November. The Mag Leather Back is a minimalist Horween back cover with camera protection and no side protection, shipping by 7 December.
Verdict: if documented full-grain leather is specifically what you want, Nomad is the answer and we are not. Horween is a named, traceable tannery; we describe ours as leather-finish because that is accurate for what we ship. The trade is price and, more sharply, timing — both cases arrive weeks after your phone. Buy Nomad if certified leather matters more than having a case on day one.
Thinborne and Latercase — the ultra-thin specialists
Thinborne lists a 0.90 mm aramid case shipping from Frisco, Texas. Latercase lists a 1 mm MagLock case shipping from Toronto with a stated 1–3 day dispatch.
Verdict: both beat us outright on thinness and both ship domestically in their home markets, which is a genuine speed advantage for US and Canadian buyers. Each sells essentially one case, so there is no choice of function — no wallet, no stand, no hinge coverage. Buy these if you want the thinnest possible shell and nothing else.
CASETiFY — not yet a competitor
CASETiFY's iPhone Duo page is currently a waitlist invitation rather than a product listing.
Verdict: nothing to evaluate. CASETiFY's strength is custom printing and personalisation, which nobody else here offers. Join the waitlist if custom designs are the point — just do not plan on it for launch day.
Mous — heavier protection
Reported as entering the category with a more protection-focused approach. Full specifications and pricing for iPhone Duo are not published at the time of writing.
Verdict: Mous has a strong drop-protection reputation on conventional phones. Until it publishes Duo specifications there is nothing concrete to compare. Worth watching if maximum protection is your priority.
TORRAS and ESR — kickstand specialists
Both reported as adding kickstands to the Duo without making the device unwieldy. Specifications and prices not yet published.
Verdict: the closest competitors to our stand range on paper. Both are established value brands on conventional phones. Not enough published detail to compare properly yet.
Speck, SANDMARC, Benks and dbrand
Speck reported as a slim-protection option. SANDMARC and Benks both list iPhone Duo cases with active purchase options. dbrand has Duo listings live, with its usual grip texture and skin customisation approach.
Verdict: one to two products each. The pattern across all of them is consistent — brands whose main business is conventional phones, adding a Duo case to an existing catalogue.
Head to head: our cases against named rivals
Each comparison below is on published figures only, with the winning cell in bold on each row. Where a rival wins a row, we have marked it.

| Brand review history | None yet | Extensive | Extensive |
| Available now | Yes | Yes | 23 Oct |
Read: Apple's Folio is the only one with an elastic hinge mechanism, and it is the cleverest of the three — but it hides the outer display and skips side protection, at $129. Spigen and ours cover the same ground; the differences are $20 and Spigen's review history against our range and colour choice.

| Colourways | Brown, Blue, Black, Green + | 3 | 2 per product |
Read: Nomad's material is better documented and we say so. We ship now, cost less, and leave the outer screen usable. Apple does not sell a wallet case for this device at any price.
| Duo Case Co Carbon Fiber Ring Stand |
Apple Folio with Kickstand |
TORRAS / ESR | |

| Stand stability on a desk | Ring, single contact point | Wide kickstand edge | Wide kickstand edge |
Read: the Duo opens into landscape at 164.6 mm wide by 117.8 mm tall, so a rotating ring handles the natural orientation without compromise. A fixed kickstand is more stable on a desk. Both are legitimate; the $79 difference against Apple is not.

Where we lose
Four places, stated plainly, with the product to buy instead.
| Criterion | Winner | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Thinness | Thinborne 0.90 mm, Latercase 1 mm, PITAKA ~1.2 mm | All thinner than anything we make. Not close. |
| Guaranteed fit | Apple | Only Apple designed the phone and the case together. |
| Documented material | Nomad (Horween), PITAKA (aramid) | Named, traceable materials. Ours is leather-finish and composite. |
| Review history | Spigen, PITAKA, Nomad, CASETiFY | Years of verified reviews. We have none and will not manufacture any. |
Where we win
Range. Twelve cases against one to three. No other brand sells a Duo wallet case available now, a case with a stylus slot, or a ring-stand case in nine colourways — at any price.
Price. $39.95–$49.95 against PITAKA $59.99, Spigen $69.99, Apple $79 and $129. On the closest like-for-like comparison we are 29% below Spigen.
Availability. In stock now, free worldwide shipping, while Nomad is three to six weeks past launch and CASETiFY has no product.
Specialisation. Every brand above builds primarily for conventional phones. This site has no other device.

Why buy from Duo Case Co
We work on one device. Every brand above builds primarily for conventional phones and added a Duo case to an existing catalogue. This site has no other device.
We named the four places competitors beat us — thinness, guaranteed fit, documented materials and review history — and told you which product to buy instead in each case.
We have twelve cases. Nobody else sells a Duo wallet case available now, a stylus case, or a nine-colour ring stand case at any price.
We will publish measurements. Within a week of the 23 October launch this page will carry caliper-measured thickness and weight for our cases, set against the published figures of every brand here.
Free worldwide shipping to the US, EU, UK, Australia and the Middle East.
We have no affiliation with, sponsorship from or endorsement by any brand named. We have no customer reviews yet because we have not shipped to customers yet, and we will not manufacture any.
Frequently asked questions
Which brand makes the most iPhone Duo cases?
Duo Case Co, with twelve. Apple offers two, Spigen has two announced, PITAKA has its Edge line, Nomad has several announced but not yet shipping, and Thinborne and Latercase have one each. CASETiFY currently lists a waitlist rather than products.
What is the thinnest iPhone Duo case?
Thinborne lists a 0.90 mm aramid case and Latercase a 1 mm MagLock case. PITAKA's Edge is listed at approximately 1.2 mm and about 22 grams, with some variants around 1.3 mm and 19 grams. These are thinner than anything Duo Case Co sells.
Is Spigen or Duo Case Co better for hinge protection?
Both address the spine directly rather than leaving it exposed. Spigen's Tough Armor Pro Mag Fit is $69.99 with years of protective-case reputation behind it; the Duo Case Co Magnetic Hinge Protection Case is $49.95 within a twelve-case range. Neither has been verified on retail hardware.
What is the cheapest iPhone Duo case?
Among brands that have published prices, the Duo Case Co Magnetic Silicone Case at $39.95 is the lowest, against PITAKA at $59.99, Spigen at $69.99 and Apple at $79.
When do Nomad's iPhone Duo cases ship?
The Traditional Leather Folio is listed as shipping no earlier than 16 November 2026 and the Mag Leather Back by 7 December — three to six weeks after the phone arrives on 23 October.
Does CASETiFY make an iPhone Duo case?
Not yet. CASETiFY's iPhone Duo page is currently a waitlist invitation rather than a product listing.
Which iPhone Duo cases ship before the phone arrives?
Apple, PITAKA, Spigen's Tough Armor line, Thinborne, Latercase, SANDMARC, Benks and Duo Case Co all have orderable products now. Spigen's Slim Armor Pro Mag Fit is a preorder with an estimated 45-business-day window, and Nomad's cases ship in November and December.
Which iPhone Duo case has a kickstand?
Apple's $129 Folio with Kickstand, plus reported options from TORRAS and ESR. Duo Case Co offers nine cases with either a rotating ring stand or a flip-out kickstand, from $39.95.
Which iPhone Duo case holds cards?
Nomad's Traditional Leather Folio has interior card slots but ships from 16 November. Duo Case Co has three wallet cases in stock now. Neither Apple case offers card storage.
Has any brand published drop-test results for an iPhone Duo case?
No. No brand compared here — including Apple, Spigen and Mous — has published a drop rating for an iPhone Duo case. Apple states only that its cases go through thousands of hours of testing during design and manufacturing.
Is a more expensive iPhone Duo case better?
Price buys some specific things: documented materials, published specifications and years of review history. It does not automatically buy more protection, and no brand has published test data to support a protection ranking. Decide which of those you are actually paying for.
Has anyone tested iPhone Duo cases on a real device?
No. The iPhone Duo ships 23 October 2026, so no third-party case from any brand has been fit-tested on retail hardware. Every case listed anywhere was tooled from published dimensions or pre-release data.
Disclosure: This comparison is published by Duo Case Co, which sells iPhone Duo cases and competes commercially with every brand named. All competitor prices, materials, specifications and shipping dates are taken from those brands' own published product information or from named press coverage including AndroidHeadlines, The Gadgeteer, TechRadar, Man of Many, MacRumors, AppleInsider and PC Guide, and were accurate at the date above — prices and availability change, so verify with the seller before ordering. Where a brand has not published a figure we have said so rather than estimate. We have identified four criteria on which competitors are the better purchase and named the product to buy instead. No third-party iPhone Duo case from any brand, ours included, has been tested on retail hardware, because the device ships 23 October 2026. Duo Case Co is an independent accessories company and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Apple Inc., Spigen, PITAKA, Nomad, CASETiFY, Thinborne, Latercase, Mous, TORRAS, ESR, Speck, SANDMARC, Benks, dbrand or any other brand named.
